We're trying to build a cedar closet and we need to cut the cedar. Unfortunately, we don't have a circular saw. We do have a jigsaw. Will the jigsaw be too rough for the cedar (and thus break the wood) or will it work to make our dimensional cuts?

Thanks!

I want to purchase a table-type saw in order to make small wood objects with, BUT it also allow me to cut wood that would at least be 3-4 inches deep. Would anyone recommend a particular type of saw that would give me precision cuts?

I have heard of electric Miter saws by Hitachi, for example.

Are there any other kinds that would do a similar job. Money is a concern, as I would like to keep it under $200.

Thanks!

I have recently moved into a house which has round pin plug sockets, which I am told can be used to plug in lamps to enable them to be switched on and off using the normal light switch. Please can someone advise on changing my lamp plugs from normal square pins to round pins? I recently bought some round pin plugs but they appear not to have fuses in them so I am not sure if they are compatible with my lamps - is it possible to buy fused round pin plugs? Do I need to? Thanks.

I want to make bathroom dolls for decor. I will paint the faces, dress them with pieces of "towel" fabric, etc. I got tired of looking in the web for them and I can't find a supplier. The only supplier I got is "Sunshine Discount Crafts", but I already bought their doll and I want something different this time. These dolls have for a head a "wood ball" and the rest of the body is a not painted wooden body. They are about 10 to 12 inches long, and they may have a skinny shape, a country style type of a doll. Thank you all for your help!!!

I live in an old farmhouse and the bathroom has plastic tiles half way up the wall and then drywall covers the remaining wall. I have installed a spout that allows for a shower head so I need to be able to still attach that to the wall. And how do I protect the wall once it's repaired?

I live in an upstairs apartment and it gets VERY hot. (I live in Texas) and my apartment manager won't let us put aluminum foil over our windows to reflect the heat. What else can I do? Like are there any special types of curtains I can maybe use? The sun is heating up my apartment and running my electric bills sky high.

The doors and windows are very well secured and for someone to break an entry, they would need to make a lot of noise. So when I hear noises from other rooms, I tend to ignore them and get on with what I am doing.Should I get worried, if it is a ghost can it harm me???
