Go to Home Depot, get some 1/4 inch plywood, have it cut there the same measurements as your puzzle + 1 inch on each side. (Or add 2 inches to the length and 2" to the width.) Or, if you want to put in a matte, adjust accordingly. Go to the trim aisle, get the flat, rectangular trim that is 1/2" wide by 1/4 inch thick. (Or double-up 1/8 inch stock) Lay these pieces flat and go all the way around the edge with this wood, so if your puzzle was laying on it there would be 1/2 inch all the way around it. Then get some trim. Either 1" baseboard or chair rail. If it's bigger (wider) it's o.k., the overhang can extend beyong the edge. Lay out the trim on the ground and start on its left end (presuming it's cut square) Make a mark on the bottom edge equal to the width (exact) of your trim. Then, draw a line from the top left corner to your mark. You should have a 45 degree angle, or close to it. Then measure the width of your frame (plywood) and mark that distance on the top and bottom of your trim to the right of your edge. ( Plus, maybe 1/8 inch to be safe) Draw a line from the top to bottom points you just made and make another mark the same as your trim width, on the bottom edge to the left of your line. Draw a line from the top corner of your line to the bottom point you just made. Now make a cut, with the inside edge of your saw just outside your lines. First cutting the up and down line, then the 45's. You should now have a trapezoid. Make one more with the exact same demensions. Next do the same equation with the length and cut them. Your should now have four trapezoids that come together with the short sides facing in. Glue the edges on. (You can use staples or brads too) with some wood glue. Apply generously, then scrape off any axcess when it dries. Then paint or stain the whole mess. Black spray paint is easy. After everything dries, put your puzzle on the backing and center it. Then spray some spray adhesive on the plywood backing one edge/corner at a time, lifting up as much as possible. Check to make sure it stays center now or never. Go easy on the spray adhesive if you've taped the back of your puzzle or if you plan on reusing the frame. Next, back to Home Depot. Get a pane of glass and have them cut it for you, 3/4" longer and wider than your puzzle. It should fit just inside the edges of your frame. Make sure those edges are deep enough to keep the glass in place while it sits on the puzzle. Then glue and or staple/brad the trim onto the edge pieces fitting your corners together one at a time. Clamp or weight down the outside edges and dry for 24 hours. While you were at Home Depot I hope you picked up some picture hanging hardware

I would say the best place to find cheap frames is at Dollarama. They do not sell ones larger than 8X11.5 though, so if you are wishing to piece together a large puzzle and hang it on your wall, I suggest glueing the pieces to a large piece of cardboard using spray adhesive! Then you can hang it whenever you want, or look for the appropriate size frame without worrying about the puzzle coming apart or taking up space on a table. Goodluck!

If you have the resources you could jus buy a peice of wood and cut the peices to make a frame and it would be custom fitted to your puzzle and it would be jus what you want. You could also stain or color it the way you want. There are so many advantages to making things yourself.
