If you go to an appliance parts store and tell them that you need the connector for the faucet to connect your dishwasher and give them the make and model number they will be able to give you exactly what you need. The problem of going to a plumbing supply or home center is that there are a couple of different types and you may not get the right one without making a few trips unless you know what it looks like.

APPLIANCEGUY CALLED IT RIGHT. THERE ARE A VARIETY OF THESE AND YOU NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONE TO GET. I THINK THEY ARE CALLED THE QUICK-CONNECTOR(?). THERE IS THE FAUCET THREAD SIZE AND SEX-YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT. THERE IS THE OTHER MALE PART THAT SNAPS INTO THE HOSE END ON THE DISHWASHER-I BELIEVE THERE ARE ONLY TWO SIZES OF THESE... BY THE WAY, HOW COME THE MOVERS DON'T PUT IT WITH THE DISHWASHER WHEN THEY MOVE YOU? THAT AND-WHY DO THEY ALWAYS TAKE THE BROILER PAN FOR THE OVEN?

I don't know, but I had to buy a new one once...

Sorry...it is just a type of coupling, I don't think it has a fancy name, other than coupling or faucet head or something.
