I would like a vintage coffee table for my new living room. It would be great if it had rounded edges and nice details... but anything is better than nothing. Also, not too expensive!

I live in the San Fernando Valley, Ca and am looking to buy a couple of small, lockable metal boxes for my car. The difficulty I'm having is finding a particualr size. The box must fit in a storage compartment that measures 11" long, 7" wide and 3" deep and must be lockable. Basically, what I'm looking for is comparable to a bank safe deposit box. Any suggestions as to where I might be able to find this would be very much appreciated Thanks :-)

I haven't had a christmas tree since god know when because my old home was an apartment with low ceilings so my thoughts of it were diminished.

Now my family and I moved into a house and since it is pretty close to Christmas time and that all the Christmas decorations were out in the stores, I was wondering when we should put our trees up?

I just found a bed room set at Ashley's furniture store and it is amazing. The problem is it doesn't have the matching armior. I was thinking about putting a flat screen tv on the chest that goes with the bedroom set, but I don't want it to be visible. Any ideas on how I can hide the tv when it is not in use?

Which one is less exspensive... Carpet, laminating flooring, ceramic flooring, or putting down plywood sheets down and putting vynle on it??????? The reason why I'm asking is because when I bought the home it had carpet but between the 2 dogs and 3 kids it got augly. So I lefted the carpet one day in a small area to see what was underneath it. I saw solid wood and I loved it so we agreed to remove the carpeting int our home then we ended up finding some areas of our home to be covered wl old vynle. Determine to have wood flooring my husband and I removed sq. by sq. and used an adhesive remover during this time I noticed it was drying up on us and cracking and lifting . So..... I was going to go with laminating flooring but we dont know how to do it.. I told my husband that we could do what the previous owners did to the kitchen and laundry rm they laid plywood down and added vynel over it what do u think will that be cheaper then laminating floors? Thanks for your help.

I recently re-painted my bedroom and don't want to put the bed that I had before back in there, as it's an iron bed and the back of it seemed to scratch the paint up in a few spots. I have to save up a bit for the new one that I want, so I was just going to leave my mattress & boxspring on the floor for a while; I've heard, though, that this can ruin them, is that true? Is there anything I can do instead?
