Hi im lauren and im gettin a new room. i love pink and purple. i would paint my room those colors but people say i will get sick of it. HELP!! i need advice!

Check your closet and choose the color of your room based on the color that appears most in there. Painting takes a weekend, 15 bucks or less and can be alot of fun......if it's pink and purple, choose one as the walls and do the trim in the other. Do 3 wall one color and the fourth wall the other. Choose very light values of each and do 6 to 8 inch stripes around the room Or put up a chair rail around the room and put one color on top and the other below the rail. Hope you can use one of these suggestions. Happy painting. PS. A couple of months ago I bought my 15 year old 3 colors of acrylic paint, (her choosing) and she and a friend " finger painted" the back of her door.....hand prints and all. It really gooks quite good. She is now drawing large circles on the walls and is going to paint them as bubbles.

It is true that you will probably get sick of those colors. especially if you wll be in that room for a long time. i owuld go with a very neutral color like cream, ivory, or light tan. that way you can get all of the cool accessories in pink and purple but when you get new favorite colors you can get rid of those accessories and get new ones. becasue evrything matches all of the shades of white.

Lavender is a good color for a bedroom. White or dark wood furniture and white bedding's with accents of pink and maybe a deep purple and tan rug.

If you love these colors then do it! I think pink and purple are great colors that go together. I don't think you would get sick of it if you really enjoy then.

do three walls in and Off white or Navaho white and paint one wall pink or purple, than if you get tired of it you only have to repaint one wall

paint it RED!!!! ooorrr juss paint your walls pink and put purple and other colors of polka dots on there!! that would be cute!

a neutral color anything else your are going to get tired of it, and those colors do not go with everything.
