My mamaw bought me a bed last year. It's a very dark wood. I'm not good with wood colors, so...I wouldn't know what it is. It's not cherry:) However, it clashes with the wooden doors on my closet. They're a lighter, brighter, more golden color. I have to keep the bed...she was so happy to buy it for me, but I'm thinking about painting or staining it. Is there an easy way to do this? Should I just paint it white so it matches everything and when I move I won't have to worry about it? Also, I recently left my high paying job to ...not work ...and go to school...so money is definitely an issue.

I have a very small bathroom. It has no windows. There is only a sink (with no cabinet or storage underneath, just open and ugly), a toilet and a bathtub/shower. I can't really put anything perm. on the walls. The walls are bright white and their is only really one wall about 4 feet wide that could be decorated since the other walls are taken up by the door, bath, toilet and sink. The floor is grey and white, everything else is just white. I have a small medicine cabinet with the little sliding mirror doors. The door is normal, boring, ugly brown wood. Please help:( Color schemes, storage, etc....

I'm thinking of something like a large cactus or a bonsai tree, suitably decorated, instead of the bog standard pine. Do you think this would be more cool, suave and generally impressive than a normal tree?

Looking for some ceiling paint to day in Homebase noticed they do some by different companies (Crown one make)

The paint is pink when wet but dries brilliant white.
I think the idea is you can see what you have painted so you dont miss anywhere.

Any body tried this new type of paint!

My mother has an electric oil-filled radiator attached to the wall in her downstairs loo. I want to repaint this, but all radiator paints I have found seem to specify that they can only be used with water-filled radiators. Is there any paint available which is suitable for painting an oil-filled radiator?
