Cleaning & Laundry - July 2007

Last time I tried cleaning my walls the paint came off so now i have a big yellow spot where the white should've been!!! Help please. My 2yr. old thinks he's an artist. ;~)

What is a good product that can take away urine stains caused by puppies on beige carpeting? I used PetGone & SmartPets. However, they don't work well. Any recommendations?

I need to save space and can't decide whether to buy the space-saver bag which you use with a vacuum cleaner (to suck out the air) or one of the hand-rolled compression bags. What's your experience of them? I was going to buy it from Argos.

We moved into our house around 18 months ago.

I clean every single day including polishing the wooden furniture and cleaning my wooden floor. I clean the kitchen at least twice a day (the floor just once though).

I just can't seem to get that "homely" smell. I have got plug ins in the living room and one of those squirty air freshners in the kitchen.

When I walk in the house I want it to smell lovely like it does when I walk into my mum's house.

Any tips?

I have some baby clothes for my son that has stains on them. They are mostly bibs (so from left on food) and a few clothing items (probably from spit up or "overflow" diapers). I also have a blanket and a crib sheet that has a few set in stains. How do I get them out? Any advice / tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've asked this question before but that was before I knew more stuff. I thought he forgot to put soap in but I have washed his exercise clothes too. They smell after I wash them too.

He keeps his gym clothes and wet towel and wet swim suit in the same bag and doesn't wash them until the evening. He leaves them in there and I know that is most of the problem. I washed them in tide and they smelled okay when I took them out but he said when he was exercising the smell comes back fast. Is there something besides washing it twice that would help? I don't think he will remember to take them out of the bag right away. He can't even remember to take the bag out of his car.

My friend drew on my binder with this marker that has an eraser attached to the other end of it, but you have to draw over the marker with a white marker and then erase it. And, now I want it to come off. I tried loads of stuff to take it off. I got it to fade, but nothing else.

Help, please? :)

I own a front loader and do a great job keeping up on the wash, but sometimes just throw everything in and don't check (my husband's pockets usually) all the time. I've washed his iPod twice (it's fine), his cell phone bluetooth ear piece. Then there was a Matchbox firetruck ladder stuck in my toddler's jeans that got stuck in the mechanism and stopped the pump from draining the washer.
