1. Ask him if there is something wrong with the dryer. Maybe he is looking out for your safety.
2. Don't dry his clothes!
3. Set up an outdoor clothesline for your clothes - it's better for them and you anyway.
4. Call a marriage counselor.

Turn it back on yourself; There is a very simple dial coming into the house that turns the gal on and off; Take a look and figure it out or else call the gas company and ask them to come out and see "why my gas doesn*t work?" Have them show yu how to do it, either inside or outside.
It must be inside right near the dryer or else you wouldn*t have gas to anything else either, unless you have all electric to everything else.

Three things:
1. Learn how to turn the gas back on yourself.
2. Refuse to do HIS clothes.
3. Make him go to marriage counseling with you to find out why he is doing this. If there is a reason, then you two need to identify and discuss it. If he's just being a controlling jerk, or if he won't go to counseling, then maybe you might need to start talking to an attorney about your options.
Good luck!

Why would he do that? I would just turn it back on, unless there is a gas leak or some other very good reason for turning it off.

Unless he turned it off for safety reasons, if it was me, I'd turn it back on, do all the wash except HIS clothes, and ask him why the heck he turned the gas off. Unless he has a VERY good reason for turning it off, I'd insist on marriage counseling.

What I would do is leave the wet clothers in the washer, go get some boxes or call someone to bring them to me, pack up everything that is important to me, and leave.
I would then stay with a friend or family until I found a job and my own place. I would then live happily ever after. In fact, that is exactly what I already did. Life is short, have some fun.
