Take it to the cleaners.....or you can get on a smile and a lie like "I love to wash my dirty clothes". Lol! Or just say I want to wera this so I must wash it first. No one likes to wash their clothes but face it you have to sooner or later. So why not do it before the dirty laundry takes over your house? After you wash your clothes treat yourself to some fun! Good luck!

If you have a washer and dryer at your house, that's an easy question to answer. If not, I feel for you. I hated it when I had to take my clothes to the laudromat.

But if you do have your own machines, the easiest thing to do is to throw in a load before you go to bed and then put it into the dryer when you wake up. (Or put in a dirty load before you leave for the day and pop it in the dryer when you get home-either way.) Make it a habit to fold that one load before you go to bed--find something good to listen to on the radio, or put on an audiobook or a favorite podcast. Keep your brain off the task at hand and you won't feel like UUUNNNGHGHGH, I HATE THIS.

Now, to make it even easier, it helps to keep two or three separate baskets or a sectioned laundry hamper so that you can throw dirty darks in one and dirty whites in another. I keep a separate container for my towels, too (old plastic trash can). When one section or basket gets full, that's the one that goes in the washer. They're already pre-sorted, so no digging through dirty laundry (YUCK!) to get a load of darks or whatever.

To make folding easier, I put my clothes on the bed and fold my clothes straight into the drawers. Why stack everything nice and neat in a basket just to haul it to the bedroom and disassemble it again?

It's not a requirement to fold your underwear or any other items that it doesn't matter if they're wrinkly or not. All my nylons get stuffed into a plastic tub that fits nicely in my sock drawer.

The motivation comes from making it easy to do. If it's a pain in the neck, of course you don't want to do it.

Hope that helps!

It doesn't really take much motivation to trow a load of wash on ,watch some TV while you fold or iron and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee. I find that Saturday morning are best for me , but in order to save energy we must now opt for evening washing!

Laundry is cathartic to me....clean and folded and put away means I've had an accomplishment. I do more loads more often just so it doesn't get away from me and then it doesn't loom over me like some huge task.
