I have some really old clothes and textiles - not suitable for charity shop - but I don't want to just throw them into land fill. Is there an organisation that can make use of them?

My poor 10 year old kitty girl is being treated for a urinary tract infection, but last night, she urinated on my brand new microfiber sofa cushion. I've blotted out as much moisture as I can, but what can I do to remove the rest of the wetness and the smell? It's a blizzard outside, so I can't go running to the store for specialized cleaning items, but I do have regular household cleaning items. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't ask how the marker got there... I am sure other parents understand. Is there anything that can be used to get permanent marker out of the seat of corduroy pants.

Which Vacuum is better...bagless or canister. And I mean cleaning wise. And with Canister, do you have to buy bags? Or with either, do you need to buy anything other than the vacuum EVER?

My vacume cleaner "died" a couple of weeks ago when I did this lady's house. So the only thing that didn't get done was 1/2 of her bedroom and the rest of the upstairs. Everything else was done. She is the only person who wants me to bring my own vac, she has one in the closet and I assumed it was broken. Well, she docked my pay stating that I only did 75% of the work. According to her, 25% of my time is spent vacumming, which is not the case. Also, she has asked me to do extras like, letting the dog out, making her bed and cleaning out the vents. I don't normally do this kind of stuff, but I liked her and I didn't mind. I never charged her for this stuff. I went out and bought a vacumm cleaner to do her house with, which I don't need. I have all wood floors. In the note she stated that next time my vac breaks, to use hers in the closet. Well, why is she making me haul mine? I did call her and tell her I will no longer be cleaning for her. She pays me for 3 hrs. Takes 4.

I've always wondered this. I am black and it's like ALL black families use wash cloths for bathing. Every black person I know has wash cloths in their household. It's like a given. When I was younger I would spend the night at my white friend's house and when it was time to shower, I'd ask my friend for a wash cloth and she'd say "huh? we don't have those, we just use our hands and a bar of soap"

Also, in soap commercials it always shows people in the shower with just a bar of soap, no wash cloth! The people in those commercials are non-black.

How can you get "everything" (and crevices) thoroughly cleaned and exfoliated without a wash cloth? Lol.

I left bowl cleaner in it and stained it with blue streaks. I've tried Limeaway, CLR, and Coke.

I think the residue from my benzoyl peroxide acne wash gets on my towel after washing my face, causing big bleach stains. Some of my towels turn completely orange after a week's worth of use, others have not been affected at all after having them a year. Is there a particular brand that is immune to the peroxide?

Can anyone recommend a good hand held vacuum to use to clean out a car? I need something that doesn't need to be plugged in, because the electrical outlet in my apartment garage is inaccessible.
