some washing detergent is always left in the clothes. I then have to run the same load once and sometimes twice more (without putting more detergent in it) to get rid of the soap. I have tried putting less than half a scoop of detergent in a full load, but to no avail. Does anyone know what is going on ? I am wasting a lot of water and a lot of energy.

It smells somewhat smokey, but not like hot smoke. It is noticable all the time, and really bad when the dishwasher runs. We are stumped as to what it is. Any advice????

I have a t-shirt that has an iron-on transfer. How do I launder the shirt to make sure it lasts as long as possible? Also, it's a bit too big, is it safe to put the shirt in the dryer after washing?

What's the best way to remove hair/lint out of my dryer? Every time I wash and dry my black shirts they are covered with hair/lint. I don't think it's from my cat. I go through a lint removal roll a week.

I just moved into an all wood-floor house and I'm wondering if Febreeze is still effective on wood floors? (Odor killing + cleaning wise.) And will it wreck/harm wood floors?

I need to use something strong that won't damage the tile but will eliminate all fungus/mold, I have used Kaboom and the grout is still stained by mold. Thank you so much for your help.

Currently we use an ordinary mop with long cotton strands, quite low cost. Would like to get faster, would a flat sponge mop work better? Or a flat cotton mop? Bearing in mind there are 20 stairways so need something quite durable. Speed, effectiveness, and duarability are important. The surfaces are hard like marble.

Any ideas on how to speed up?
