Very cold usually means very dry air will evaporate the water from your cloths quickly. The trick is to dry before freezing; sometimes impossible.

Evaporation and freezing are both part of the process. Hang them on a line outside in the freezing weather and just let them freeze, then just shake them out with a quick snap or two. The ice flys off and they are dry! Grandma always did this when it was freezing or below. I remember how it seemed like magic when she showed me.

The colder the air is, the dryer it is. The dry air dries the clothes.
