I just moved into an all wood-floor house and I'm wondering if Febreeze is still effective on wood floors? (Odor killing + cleaning wise.) And will it wreck/harm wood floors?

I would be afraid to try. What kind of odor? Just normal dirt smell? Try using Murphy's oil wood soap.

chemicals in febreeze will hurt the wood. Try murphys oil wood soap. Works real well and helps protect the wood.

YES!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT PUT FEBREEZE ON THE WOOD FLOORS!!!!!!

Usually the cleaners will start to break down the finish on the floor. I would go out and buy clearer special for floors - $5 cleaner vs. hundreds of dollars in new floors is not effective cost annalysis.

Febreeze is basically just an air freshener, and is not going to get your floors clean. You aren't supposed to leave liquids on hardwood anyway, as it could seep in and warp the wood. If you want the floors clean, clean them.
If they still smell after cleaning (ie, animal urine or something) you will probably need to refinish them.

You never know until you try it!!

Answer your own question then let all of us know!!! :) Just don't hold that bottle close to the floor, you want the "spray" not to actually coat the floor or put it all in one spot.

Oh, read the label to see if it states anything about NOT using on certain surfaces!!! I almost forgot about that bit of info and trust me, I've NOT read the bottle and wished I would've!!!

I think it only works on fabric. Don't try it on woods. Woods are kind of sensitive to chemicals.

not recommended
it's for fabrics and air, but not hard surfaces
