what is the best way to clean my cupboards? they look like they have a fake wood look, probably vinyl cover, and I tried to wash it down and now it looks faded, whitish almost, is some areas. Mistake. Is there something I can do to make it look like dark brown wood again? I tried oil soap and it worked at first, now it looks bad again.

I was painting our front porch with white paint and got quite a bit of it on my gloves, sweatshirt and pants. (Don't ask!) Someone suggested rubbing alcohol, but it's not working. Maybe I didn't use enough. Any other suggestions?

Our playroom is always a mess. If we expected everything to be put back in order every evening, we'd be up way too late and I don't think they would want to play in there if they were stressed about keeping it clean. How can I have a tidy (room is seen from our kitchen and living room) room but fun for my girls? (we do a weekly clean up as part of their chores right now)

Does the shower curtain hang on the outside of the tub and the liner on the inside? Do you need a separate set of rings to hang the liner or do you hang them on the same rings as the shower curtain? Is there an advantage between vinyl or cloth liners? I've never used one so any input/tips would be good.

I have a blue wool coat and want to dye it black. Is there a professional that does this or can I do it myself in my own washing machine? And, if I can, is there a danger of shrinkage? Thank you.

I have a long glass bottle that I want to re-use for vinegar for cooking. There is some kind of grime stuck to the bottom of the bottle -- well out of reach of any bottle brush. I have let the bottle soak, have poured boiling water in, and used both dish soap and stronger household cleaners, to no avail.

This is kind of gross but what do people do about their "wet patch" re it staining the mattress/damaging the electric blanket underneath? Also does the average person change their sheets after each "encounter" or do they wait for a few "encounters". Just wondering what's "normal" I guess.
