we have static built up bad in our house. would love to hear of any tips or something to help with this problem....

you need a humidifier

Try a humidifier or boil water on the stove. Satic happens the worse when the air is dry.

I use a humidifier that is hooked up to my furnace. There are also portable humidifiers of various sizes. I bough my portable one at Sears. If you don't want to spend money just boil a pot of water on the stove.

humidifer is te way to go...if possible attacher to your heating system. You need a level of about 70% humidity to eliminate static

Mix fabric softener and water in a spray bottle. Spray your carpets, drapes, furniture. We had same problem and the wife fixed it this way.
