Cleaning & Laundry - October 2006

This has been my plague! My roomie is very clean and showers often. Dirty laundry does not pile up in the corner. It is so noticeable when he gets up in the morning and after sleeping. It lingers all day. It's musty, acrid and defies odor neutralizer sprays. Could it be some funky male hormonal musk? I 've seen him launder his bedding with washing soda and borax and the next morning his room is still odiferous!

the table is made of of some kind of fake marble
it feels like marble to the touch but it is just some kind of over lay with wood underneath.
i have tried everything to get these water rings off and have had no luck. please help!!! thanks

OK....here it goes....I am a single man, and pretty much have gotten the hang of laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.. But, there is one thing that I have yet to conquer....folding clothes. I am sooo embarassed, but I am awful at folding clothes. Can anyone help with some tips/techniques????

I have a costume. Its snug fitting. But the fabric is so flimsy, its wanting to split on stress points. How can I reinforce the seams without heat and resewing the seam itself.
Im afraid that the stiching would cause more holes.

I was making hamburgers when I got that greasy gritty stuff that forms on the bottom of the pan on my favorite t-shirt. This brand of tee never releases food stains very well, but I love this shirt and the store I bought it from doesnt sell them anymore. Can anyone please tell me how I can get this stain out? I dont think just normal laundry detergant will work. Thanks!

I don't really under stand the laundry sorting thing. How do you sort the laundry? What is considered whites (socks, undershirts)? Does colors include both denim pants and colored t-shirts. When is the delicate cycle neccessary? When to use use just cold water? Totally lost here. Had a lady, either mother or wives, taking care of that for decades. Now I'm afloat on a sea of dirty laundry and color bled clothes (light yellow socks that used to be white). HELPPPP!!!

I have sugar ants bad. I have even found them in my dishwasher. It doesn't matter how much I wipe the countertops with vinager, they are all over! I can't leave the slightest mess or they will just seem to appear out of nowhere. How do I get rid of them, I am extremely frustrated.

What is the difference between a natural gas dryer vs. a propane dryer?? Of course, the natural gar dryer uses natural gas for the energy but are there any differences as far as the connections???
