To clarify "three prong", I mean it has a power cord with a plug at the end that has three prongs. The two normal prongs "where one prong sometimes is a little wider at the head than the other prong", and the third cylindrical prong. Oh yeah, this is for an American application. I know that other countries have their own variations but I am interested only in the American application. That third prong on wire plugs are a safety device provided to prevent users of an electric/ electronic device from receiving an electric shock, should the chassis of the device become electrically charged. On Naval ships it is mandatory that an iron have these plugs but unfortunately I have been unable to find any. I no longer desire to use the "community irons" provided to us on the ship. PLEASE HELP!

We just bought this house a few months ago and it still has roaches and lots of spiders. My husband thinks that spraying bug spray will hurt the floor so we have only put out 'traps', which is not enough since we still have bugs. Any advice?

I don't care too much about the quality of the washing job and the range of options each provides. I just need something that is as cheap as possible and is also simultaneously reliable and long-lasting. FWIW, I have been looking at brands like Roper at Lowe's which are in the 250-400 dollar range for both the washer and dryer.

The Velcro on the flap of my hiking pants is thick will lint and bits of string. Is there any way to "rehabilitate" Velcro by removing the stuff caught in its "hook" side? I am hoping for something that will save me the hassle and expense of getting a tailor to sew on new bits of Velcro.

I am considering putting my house on the market. I know that I have to do some major cleaning to do, but I can't seem to get motivated to do it. It all seems so overwhelming. Does any one have any tips?
