Start by tossing out anything that you don't want, need or use anymore.
The less stuff and clutter the easier it will be.

Give away those items that may still be useful to someone else but that you have outgrown. Sometimes we get attached to things because the things give us memories .... but the memory is really inside of you -- you don't need the things to stay connected to the memory.

Try to reduce by 10 or 20%... for example -- you have 10 sweaters or sweatshirts.... part with just 1 and that's 10%.
Next, group like items.... keep personal affects that are similar together -- hair products, jewelry, paper products, socks and footwear ... etc.... you may be surprised to see how much you really have once you sort and group things together.

Another tip I do is to try and keep the most used stuff together from the least used stuff. They say we use 20% of our wardrobe 80% of time.

Once you have de-cluttered and organized a bit -- you can clean the surfaces and floors and why not the window as well.

It's a great feeling to have a nice clean space to relax and come into. Start small, if you have to take baby steps just do a little at a time and stick to it ... over the course of a few weeks you'll get on a roll and be all done before you know it.

Enjoy -- make it fun -- you are worth it!

Step #1 - Turn off the computer & TV (They're both very distracting when trying to clean. Turn on the Radio instead.

Step #2 - Create a place for everything. Clean Clothes got here. Toys, Games, etc go there. Dirty Clothes go in the hamper. Trash in the trashcan. School work all goes somewhere easy to get to all the time.

Then each time you need to clean your room - just return things to where they belong. Make your bed.
Then you can dust, clean mirrors, then sweep/vaccuum (in that order)

Focus on one area at a time. For example, first put all your laundry away. Then clean up all your school supplies. Then pick up all the trash. Then clean up another area, so on and so forth. Or you can do what my husband does. He puts EVERYTHING in his room on his bed and goes from there. When he does it that way we always end up getting alot of stuff to go to Good Will because he goes through everything.

Take ur time. Pick up the messy things you see and put a place for it. Things you know u wont use , throw away and if your not sure about something, put it away but in an organized way. umm..i think you should also get baskets or hampers and stuff to store your things also.
