We just bought this house a few months ago and it still has roaches and lots of spiders. My husband thinks that spraying bug spray will hurt the floor so we have only put out 'traps', which is not enough since we still have bugs. Any advice?

yes...I have hardwood floors and I use bug spray...but just clean it up quickly afterwards so the chemicals don't soak in. But I think it's fine.

bug spray should not hurt the floor if you spray some on it. you can test in a closet to be sure, but bug spray also wont help get rid of roaches. if you see one roach there are hundreds more. you need to bomb the house to kill them. try to find where they live you can look for little black trails leading into walls or crevices.that would be where you would concentrate the bombs.

For ants, you probable choose a sturdy spray. For roaches, that is uncomplicated. Get some diatomacious earth( it really is used in swimming pool provide) sprinkle in a line aroung the room. What occurs is the roaches ought to bypass this line, at the same time as they do they %. up this stuff and it sticks to their bodies and at the same time as they bypass lower back to their nests it sticks to their eggs too. They then disolve from the interior out and disappear. After about 2 weeks merely sweep up and do not be disturbed about roaches back.

Did you have inspection for insects termite...... before purchase, look up the sales package.

You have no choice but to tackle the insects, how is up to you..

All other answers looks good also, but the one suggests you get a rug, insects can hide under the rug.

Few things to remember Spiders usually kill roaches.

Anyway good luck.
