I need ideas on how to store / hide all of my christmas presents from the kids now that they're a little older... especially two really large ones I got. A pool table and a large HCTV.

I really want them to be a surprise and we don't have much space.

I can't hide them under my bed since I have a platform with no space underneath. They could find them in the garage. They're too heavy for the attic. I don't have friends/relatives close by to ask.

Well with winter soon starting up we usually burn our woodstove in our basement. Our computer desk is about 3 feet away from the woodstove, the monitor is about 5, and the computer is about 7. Keep in mind how hot woodstoves get, and would you recomend moving it? I would just have it not in a corner like facing the corner. Tell me what you think. Thanks

After moving my grandfather clock does not work after moving it from Las Vegas to New York. I put all weights back to where there were originally. It has 3 weights, but the middle one does not drop now and the pendulum stops after just 20 minutes.
The clock is a Howard Miller. Thanks for your help

my old gas stove (we're talking vintage here) keeps burning things, It worked fine when we bought the house but then knob that controlled the temperature fell off, and when we put it back on but and now the inside temperature will rocket to 500 even though it was set at 250. Is there some way to calibrate it, or some website to show me how? This became important after we burnt our turkey to a crisp :(

I have recently bought a wool coat which I never have bought one before. How do I care for it so moths won't destroy it? I live in the South (almost in Florida). Thank you in advance!

I am remodeling and making the a Florida room part of the main house. I was ripping off the dry wall that was on the ceiling, and noticed this small little guy sleeping on one of the rafters. I couldn't believe he didn't move as I had just put a sledge hammer through the dry wall not a foot from were he was. I grabbed him with my work gloves and put him in an old fish tank we had and covered it with a towel. I put some old rags in there and he went right back to sleep.

Will he be ok in there until spring? I can't put him outside because it is like 20 degrees and they can't live in the cold. He can't get out of the tank I've got it sealed shut, but does he need anything or will he just sleep until it gets warmer outside?
I have a bat house outside, but I checked and there aren't any inside it right now, (It's to cold) I love having them around they really reduce the mosquitoes.

I recently had the light fixture off to painting a ceiling. I accidentally hit the wires together and caused a pop and spark, but it did not trip the circuit breaker. When I re-installed the fixture it no longer worked. I use a voltage detector and there is power flowing into the box, but when I screw in a light bulb, there no longer is any power flowing in.

What could cause this and how could I detect and fix it?

I have a Bosch 12V cordless drill. The drill came with 2 batteries. Both batteries have not been holding a charge.
I have the choices of buying new batteries @$50-$70 each, Have Batteries Plus rebuild the batteries for $40 each.
Or trash the drill and buy a new 14V for around $200.Do you have anyother ideas? Which choice would you go for.
P.S. I do like this drill.

Is there a way I can dry clean my own clothes? I have this black and white dress for choir, and I can't machine wash it because the black will wash off onto the white.

Is there a way that I can wash it or something without having to dry clean it without the black washing off on the white? Here's the dress: http://southeastern-performance-apparel.com/dress.html
The white part is layered onto the black part.
Help! The white part gets stained pretty fast, being right under the armpits.
