After moving my grandfather clock does not work after moving it from Las Vegas to New York. I put all weights back to where there were originally. It has 3 weights, but the middle one does not drop now and the pendulum stops after just 20 minutes.
The clock is a Howard Miller. Thanks for your help

The clock is off-beat most likely. The tics and tocs need to be exactly spaced at equal intervals. Remove the pendulum and press it one direction, when it stops moving (as far as it will swing one way) press it a tad farther. Try and run it again, listen to the beat again. If you are going the wrong direction, press it to the opposite side plus a tad more. continue this process untill the tics and tocs are equally spaced (timed) --- Otherwise call an expert.

Great answer Stretch, the only thing I would add would be to protect the glass. If the clock is back-down/face-up in a truck, and you hit a bump, the glass can shatter. You may want to pad it from behind, being sure not to damage the hour and minute hands or the face plate. Good luck.

I worked for a moving company, you should call a professional to set the clock back up its usually less than $50

Check to see if the clock is level.

You might have to get a clock repairer to look at it or buy a manual.
