why does my dx200s heater switch off automatically ?

I haven't put on a timer or anything like that.

Probably wired to an E7 circuit which is (timed) cheap rate. I'm guessing that these are bedroom convectors, and you have storage heaters in some rooms?

perhaps it is a saftey timer so that it dosent overheat
