A duvet is a cover for your bed that is basically an envelope of fabric, containing a thin pad of quilt batting, which can be easily opened, allowing the pad to be removed, so that the fabric can be cleaned. A duvet cover is the cover for that pad and usually uses buttons or snaps to close itself over the pad. A comforter is a cover for your bed that is fabric which is sewn closed all around the pad.

Hope that helps.

A duvet is a feather, cotton, or wool filled sack used as a blanket on a bed. It's a european bedding item which has become very popular in the USA. A duvet cover is a buttoned or zippered decorative bag which many people use to keep their duvets clean.
A comforter generally is very similar to a duvet, except it's generally not contained in a cover like a duvet. Comforters are usually 3 layers; bottom sheet, filling, top sheet, and they're quilted or tied together and bound around the edges.

A duvet is a sealed large cloth bag full of down. (Think huge, light, comfy pillow.)

A duvet cover it the covering for the duvet. A very good idea as duvets are difficult & expensive to clean properly.

A comforter is a thinner often quilted version of a duvet.

There's not much difference between a comforter and a duvet, as far as I can tell. Probably just two different countries' terms for the same thing.

The duvet cover is a removable cover for the duvet--like a pillowcase is a removable cover for the pillow.

Depending on who you ask, the three are synonymous. A comforter and a duvet are similar in that they are both filled blankets, with down, cotton or whatever. The difference comes in that a duvet to some is meant to be an insert where as a comforter is a standalone blanket. That is why there is also a duvet cover, you cover a duvet to keep it cleaner longer and to add a little pizaz.

A duvet and a comforter are the same. A duvet cover is a zippered cover that can cover the other two.

A duvet is a big down filled bag, and a duvet cover goes over it for decorative effect. It can be used to sleep on or to sleep under for warmth. A comforter is usually slightly quilted and filled with fiber or down and may have a decorative top as part of its construction.

Daduvet and a duvet cover are the samething. A comforter is a thick bnlanket usually with some sort of stuffing in it to keep you warm. Duvets are like pillow cases for your comforter.

A duvet is sewn on three sides. You put your comforter inside the duvet. This will keep your comforter clean so that you do not have to wash it so often. OR to keep dog/cat hairs from sticking to the comforter if your animals sleep on the bed.

A duvet cover is the same as a duvet.
