Hi-
I'm a college grad student and am renting a townhouse. I am looking for ways to add fun color and decoration to my kitchen without spending too much money and no remodeling. I have cabinets with open space at the top so that has potential.
Any ideas?

My dog was accidently left in my room while everyone was out. He ended shredding a large chunk of the carpet behind the door and now there is a gaping hole with nails sticking out. What is the best (and cheapest) way to fix it?

It has holes in it like a hive and is on the ceiling. Could it be mold? or maybe some kind of insect housing? I have never seen anything like it.

I have two lilacbushes that are probably forty years old and twenty feet high. I cut off some of the old stems near the base last year understanding that new shoots would come up. They didn't. My understanding was that the new shoots would produce flowers in two years. Any suggestions as to what went wrong?

I have had a combi boiler installed but the plumber would not remove the old back boiler.
He advised me to remove it myself as he had decommissioned it completely.

My significant other poured iced tea in the sink without rinsing the sink out afterwards. The whole bottom of the white sink is stained so it looks very dirty. If i bleach my sink how should i do it? Should i put the stopper in and pour bleach and water and let it sit? I don't know what to do, it looks awful. On the side that is stained i have a garbage disposal, i dont know if this makes a difference. Help please

A Weeping Willow on the lot line, belongs to my neighbor and branches overhang my roof by 15 feet. She will not trim. Tree has gaping hole on 1 side and surely will die. I need to help it along UNNOTICED. Tree fills my gutters, deposits a huge amount of tree matter in the valleys of my roof. We have had water in the basement because the gutters were plugged shut and the water ran down the side of the house and into the basement. I DON'T NEED THIS ANYMORE!!! I am 60 years old and do not like getting on the roof to clean the gutters and valleys. The tree also overhangs 2 fire place chimmenys, so we don't use them. The city says I can cut anything overhanging my property, BUT if I damage the tree in any way, and the tree dies ( or falls because I made it lopsiided), the neighbor can sue for full value replacement (nice city ord.). GUYS - the key word here is "UNNOTICED". I love trees, but it's the tree or me (is that the real question?) Help - one and all

I don't want the door removed, I just want it blocked or hidden. I have a house I separated into 2-units. This door I'm hiding basically connects the house. With respect for privacy, how do I block this door and dampen the noise coming from/through the door?

I know the red ones are for a red fire, and the yellow ones are for a yellow fire, but these blue ones, and those black ones, what are they for? Also, I have decorated in mauve and peach, do you think that will make a difference in what kind of fires I have? Where can I get a mauve fire extinguisher, I am so tired, there, I said it tired of having these contraptions clashing with the Decor.
