so I found another place for it in the kitchen. What are some creative things I could use that fridge area for? It looks empty!!

Get a shelving unit to go in there, one that matches your cabinetry. Then you can put some kitchen gadgets or large bowls and platters, pots and pans, etc. A few plants to make it pretty would be nice too.

I found a pretty baker's rack for the fridge space. I used it for some small appliances, cookbooks, and some decorative items on top.
In this house, it is a book shelf!

I bought some nice chrome shelving. If you look hard enough you can find just the right size and use it for fun stuff like cookie jars or useful things like you small appliances.

Shelves, hooks for aprons, a couple of stools for extra seating or create a desk area.
