They are small brown spots in a little cluster... probably about 10-20 spots in hthe cluster. I have had alot of moths and flies in my kitchen which I have killed with fly repellent. Is this the cause of the spots? If not, what are they? They are everywhere.. on my kitchen floor, on the sink, even on shelves and things on the wall. I don't get it. What the hell are they?!

I was sitting in my own room with the door shut, and then I smell the propane. I walk out my room, and the smell is so strong I know someone is going on. I go into the kitchen, and find one of my roommates LEFT THE GAS ON without a FLAME for at LEAST 1 hr.

(I called the fire department, took all necessary precautions, and everything is clear now)

I am aware of the DANGERS and DEATH that can result from a mistake like this - but I lack the knowledge and facts around it.

Can you help me make a list of reasons of how leaving the stove on can cause death, etc. Do you know how long it takes for propane to kill, how many it kills a year, combustion rates?

I'll take anything (ANYTHING) factual to scare this girl straight.

I just started using all different types of cleaning cloths, pre moisened for all uses. Some for the furniture , some for leather, some for all glass. I like using them better than the spray bottles. What do you like to use when cleaning the house?

i live in a house where i rent a room, i take care of the lawn to help trade for rent. there is an entire Fence line of rose bushes that bloomed for a week, then nothing the rest of the summer. however there is one bush by the back door that has not stopped blooming even till now! what makes the difference?

I've read that it's hardiness is 4-9, and I live in Chicago which is zone 5. I bought the tree, more like a twig, today. It's less than 12 inches, but has many leaves. If I plant it outside know will it be too young and die in the snowy weather?

Our new flat has a quince tree in the garden. It is really heavy with fruit and the fruit is already pretty huge. Does anyone know when to harvest quince? Some have come away easily already so I did an experimental pudding with it (baked with honey) but it had a really bitter aftertaste. Is it still unripe and
will it ever ripen in the uk? I hate to waste it if I can cook them but I have never dealt with quince before!

Ok, so I have a few questions about my clothes dryer. First, I'm curious if anyone can lend advice about the fact that the home I'm currently renting vents the dryer exhaust UNDER the foundation of the house and out the left side. There is about a 2' PVC pipe going vertically out of the side of the house, with a 90-degree angle pointing to the back of the house (it's not that far off the ground). The cover to it won't stay on and even when it is on, rain water still frequently fills the PVC pipe. I routinely have to use our ShopVac to suck the water out of the stupid pipe (from the outside). We have lived here for 2 years and have already been through 2 heating elements in our clothes dryer. This morning, I smelled burning coming from the dryer so I took the thing out (again, yay) and took it apart. Cleaned it out, and while I was inside, decided to use the ShopVac and see if I got any water. I did. A lot. What can I do to stop this rainwater problem? Why the burning smell?

i pulled the cord 5 times, then switched the switch to 1/2 choke.

it stared but then i put the switch on full choke accidently and it died. i pulled the cord once again, 3 times...then the cord got stuck in the middle of the pull.

every other time with the water going down someimes and staying in the bowl sometimes.

I checked inside the tank and see that sometimes water in it when flushed only goes down half way and then shuts off and starts filling again. when I hold the flush handle down for many seconds longer than one normally would, it seems to flush everytime.

Other than holding it down so long for it to fully release all the water in the tank into the bowl, how can I fix this?

The ball floats up very high in the bowl but the problems seems to be the empty hole closing too quickly.

Please help as I am single with no one to help me know how to do plumbing things.

II was going to buy a draino for toilets but does this seems unnecessary now or will it still help.

Is the problem in the tank or in the bowl and pipes?

On 03-01-07 I paid $700.00 first month rent and moved in. The water presure was low and the water was brown when I moved in. He said that it would clear up after I run it for awhile. It never cleared up. He never came to fix problem so on 04-01-07 I asked to be compensated because I had been washing dishes, and doing everything from my tub that required water. He gave me $200.00 off so for april I paid $500.00 and he said he would fix the problem. Plumber came out end of april and fixed the kitchen only. I asked for copensation . he said no compensation because the problem is fixed. I told him the problem is not fixed and showed him that I still have coffee coming out of the bathroom sink. I never paid rent again for the next 6 months he has not taken me to court yet. I want to go because he has not done anything in this apartment. Had place inspected by city who gave him 30 days to fix problem and list of other violations and he has not done anything. What to do?

I have had installed a new combi boiler ..room stat and radiator stats....when the heating comes on it makes a lot of banging noises .each time it fired up ..mainly in one room..fitter came back and added mor lagging to pipework .and changed stat .anything else it could be?

Hi. I am remodeling my bathroom and noticed there are two seperate vent pipes (one for sink, one for tub.)
They are the standard 3" pipes, and I would like to take one of them out so I can do more with my bathroom.
