If the irons are unusable as-is, try a lime-dissolving product like Lime-Away or CLR poured into the reservoir, then steamed out the vents (onto paper bags or rags) to clear the whole system.

It may not work, or may leave a lingering smell, so try one iron at a time.

In the future, use only distilled water in the iron. No minerals to build up inside.

Only use filtered water - or better still distilled water with no impurities or lime to clog the insides up.

To unblock them just have a look at the range of descaling chemicals available in your local DIY store, Supermarket or chemist.
Even if your local tap water is not "hard", it is going through very small apertures and even a little of the limescale can stop the reservoir from letting any water out.

Are you using distilled water, and these irons specify tap water?
Hot distilled water is very aggressive and can eat metal very nicely. If you're in a hard water area, you may need to use part tap and part distilled water with these irons.

If you're in a hard water area and you've been using tap water,
you probably need to descale, either with a commercial descaler or with vinegar.

Always dump any water left at the end of ironing.

If you used boiled water instead of tap water this will take out all the calcium deposits in the water. You need to follow the manufactures instructions to the letter and never leave water in the reservoir always throw it away after you have finished ironing.

Buy distilled water when you buy a new iron. Your tap water is too hard.

Hey Nettie, where did you go to school? Since when does boiling remove lime and calcium from water? I thought you have to distill it to do that.

Boil your water before you put it in the iron. Or use distilled water. It is cheap. You have lime build up in the iron. There are cleaners that you run through them. If its totally clogged you wont be able to use them.

Probably calcium deposits built up in the reservoir or the holes. Are you using distilled water? Should be. Try filling the reservoir with vinegar. Let it sit a few hours and then try it.
