We have a healthy start from a Virginia Creeper. We live in So. Oregon, West of the Cascade mts. We have a good growing season, and mild winters, very little snow, nothing below 15 deg. usually. we have full sun, partial sun, and mostly shade areas to choose from. Any of you with V. Creepers doing well who might have some insight?

Another thought I had was put moth balls down when done.

I just noticed a lot of people making mention about doing a load of linens and a load of towels. I've always washed my sheets and towels together, because I don't have enough to do 2 separate loads.

i bought a rubber tree plant last spring, it had several stalks (if that's the right word) that were each about a foot high. it did well for quite a while, but now seems to be dying. while the stalks continue to grow, the leaves have almost all fallen off. i thought i was over-watering it, so i cut back dramatically and that seemed to help for a while - but now it's looking worse than ever. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I am considering applying for a part-time basic sales associate position for flooring/carpeting at either Home Depot or Lowe's. Do I have to be an expert at flooring and installation to get this job? How much flooring experience do I need or do they train you while on-the-job?

Thanks!

I have seen DIY installation guides for phone jack installation, and it all seems pretty easy. However, none of them show how to find your walls from the attic. My attic is covered with insullation, and I am not sure how I will figure out where to start the fishing expedition to get the wire up to the attic or down to the walls where the new jacks will be.

Hello all gardners. I have planted in my West-side garden bed three dahlias, they growth strongly , with strong stems. Nevertheless, all summer I was hoping and hoping I would have blooms. What's gone wrong? Help. Do I need to take them out we have harsh winters here in Northern Utah.
And if so how do I take them out and store them? Thanks

I usually do a load of towels every week and it seems like I am always washing underwear. I wash about 3 - 4 loads of laundry a week and thats all jeans, t shirts, underwear, pajama's bra's, etc. I feel like I am always doing major laundry on my days off. I dont remember having this much laundry when my kids were home. I wash bed linens at least 1 time a week and yesterday bought a couple of nite shirts so I dont have to do pajama's bras and socks more than 1 time a week. Is that a lot of laundry for 1 person?

We planted some habanero pepper plants this summer and, wow, they went gangbusters! I've got dozens upon dozens of these little fireballs and I'm wondering now what to do with. I like hot food as much as the next guy but with these things you need one peppers at a time. Anyone got suggestions of ways to perserve these as sauces, freezing, salsas or something that will keep for several months? I've never canned but I'm willing to try....

My 11-year old daughter came home from school the other day with a quarter-size black permanent marker stain on her new white cotton school uniform polo shirt. To make matters worse, she tried to 'cover' the stain with White Out correction fluid! (so now there are 2 stains in 1). She only wore the shirt once, it cost me like $30 & NO way am I going to get rid of it. Any suggestions on how to get the stain out w/o ruining the shirt?

I have some very nice antique pots in wrought iron stands and some ornamental screens in my garden. They are not painted and I like the slightly rusty effect, but I dont want them to rust away. What can I treat them with? Or maybe I should put them in the shed over Winter?
