I usually do a load of towels every week and it seems like I am always washing underwear. I wash about 3 - 4 loads of laundry a week and thats all jeans, t shirts, underwear, pajama's bra's, etc. I feel like I am always doing major laundry on my days off. I dont remember having this much laundry when my kids were home. I wash bed linens at least 1 time a week and yesterday bought a couple of nite shirts so I dont have to do pajama's bras and socks more than 1 time a week. Is that a lot of laundry for 1 person?

I figure I shower 2 times a day, so thats equivalent to 14 towels and 14 wash clothes. My sheets and pillow cases etc are a load. If I wash the top blanket thats a load. I do socks bra's and white underwear together so thats anywhere between 7-10 pr of socks per week and 7-10 bra's. I wear white uniform pants.
I also do not wash my dishcloths and dishtowels with anything about once every week. Colors go in a load by themselves. Jeans go in a load alone.
Its just crazy all this laundry.

1 load should be sheets, and 1 should be towels. The other two should be lights and darks, so yep, sounds about right to me! You can wear pj's more than once in a row and you can use a towel more than once, too.

That seems like a lot to me, the part about doing 3-4 loads/week. I have a hubby and 4 kids ages 10yrs-10mos and I do 5 loads of clothes a week and 1 load of towels/week. Also wash sheets every weekend. I keep a major supply of towels and sheets so I don't have to wash them all the time.

I do linens once a week
1 or 2 hand towels per week
1 or 2 times week for PJs
bath towel used couple of baths (hung on shower rod to dry)
Undies & socks are daily changers; wash cloths, too.
Don't wash clothing from a 2 hour wear, etc..
Use personal judgement according your personal lifestyle.

I'm a SAH mom and I spend a good portion of time on laundry for myself and my husband. Dishes and laundry are the two things that make me feel like I'm constantly chasing my tail.

It's just me and my husband and I do that much also. It just adds up on you before you know it regardless of how many people you are washing for.:)
