I just noticed a lot of people making mention about doing a load of linens and a load of towels. I've always washed my sheets and towels together, because I don't have enough to do 2 separate loads.

I thought it was either the issue of fuzzies from towels or not wanting to use fabric softener on towels.
I just throw them all together, since I hate to run the machine unless its full.

No, I wash other whites with my sheets. You should never wash your sheets alone because they will wrap around the wringer and be all wadded up and wrinkled. But you even with your sheets similar in color to your towels you still run the risk of getting lint from the towels on your sheets and lint from the towels on the sheets.I was my towels separate from everything else.

Personally I don't think it matters. If u have a family then u would probably have enough linens and towels to make separate loads. But in this day in age when we r all tryin to cut down on our bills then we do what we have to, to save money. Being a single person I either throw the towels and linens together or sometimes I might even put my linens in with my whites. Its all in how u feel.

Yes ... terry cloth towels are very abrasive and will cause "pilling" on your sheets.
On the other hand, I've never noticed any detriment to the socks when I wash them with towels;
To fill your "sheets" load, add pajamas; permanent press shirts of the same color class; to fill your towels load, socks of course, the grubby sweatshirt that you only wear around the house (turned inside out) ... and, by the way, it doesn't hurt to have a "large" load level of water with a "medium" load of towels in the washer. From time to time they can use the extra water for extra sloshing around.

We wash them seperately because we don't want fuzzies on the sheets and using fabric softener on towels ruins the absorbancy.

I wash my sheets and towels together in hot water. They are both 100 per cent cotton and also get the highest heat setting in the dryer. They are the only items I wash in hot water. Everything else gets washed in cold.

There is no wrong way of washing except separate lights, darks & reds. To avoid 'fuzzies' dry separate. Wash together is OK.

I wash my sheets and towels separately, so I don't get any fuzzies on my sheets from the towels.

Towels are washed separately. Sheets, pillow cases, pillows, bedskirt and duvet cover are washed together.
