I Have a 1/2 horsepower pump hooked to a 2 inch well. The water coming out looks to be about 3 gallons a minute. My neighbor has the same 2 inch well but with a 3/4 horse pump and his water volume puts mine to shame. I have a hard time even watering the lawn. Our pumps out here are jet pumps converted to deepwell to reach the 32 foot deep water table. A 1HP 4" submersible will cost me about $3500 so I would like to clean the old screen and put in a 1HP jet pump if possible.

I currently have an Italian leather couch for the kids area but the grooves in the leather are wearing out. Despite the fact that leather is easiest to clean after the kids, I do not want to replace with another leather couch. I feel that leather is cold in winter and sticky in summer. Instead I would like some kind of a fabric where it is easy to clean any spills, popcorn and other dirt marks.

I have reoccuring problems with moles in my lawn. I have tried almost every over the counter product, including a trap that didn't work at all. The most effective solution to date has been a powdered product that you spinkle over the lawn, but it only last about three weeks.
Does anyone have a longer term solution?

I am remodeling my basement and I am drywalling the walls and putting in a suspended (drop) ceiling. I know when you install a drywall ceiling the ceiling should come first but how should it go when installing alternative ceilings with drywalled walls?

In my house I have mostly 2 prong outlets and I would like to replace them with grounded 3 prong outlets. From what I can tell I do not have a ground wire coming into the boxes and the boxes arent connected with EMT, just the wires running from the box downstairs. Its a 100 amp service which is code and I want to avoid running new romex up there to get my ground wire. GFCI breaker?

I live in a pretty old apartment with a negligent landlord, and I am guessing this showerhead is pretty old (so old that I had to sign a waiver to move in because of the possibility of lead paint). There is a lot of orange stuff deposited on my showerhead (around the inside of where the water comes out). Is it rust? Is it harmful to me? Could it be the cause of a urinary tract infection that came out of the blue?

I have a Dynomarklawn mower. Everytime I start the lawnmower the flywheel key breaks in half into two pieces. The engine will "turnover" but won't run. I think it is backfireing a little.

I am looking mostly for a topical solution - something I can put on top of the floor to make it even for the cabinets. I cannot afford to have the floor redone in any way.

The grade of the slope is approx 1.5"

The area where I need to fix that slope is 84" x 30".

Help!

We recently had our hemlocks sprayed with Merit to try to control the wooly adelgid that have infested them. The guy said that the white stuff stays on the branches after the insects are dead, so how do I know if it worked? Also, any ideas for organic controls?
