Look for networks like FREECYCLE.ORG because if someone there has a door they are giving it away for free to keep it out of a landfill.

If you are in the UK try Focus, part of Wicks....if you have a branch near you it is far better to go and have a look and they deliver if needed, if you compare on online order you can't really see the quality and you pay for delivery. I have bought my front and back doors from Focus at half the price of B&Q and the quality is excellen , focus do on-line ordering but you can't see the quality which on front doors is very, very important.

I've been offered a number of doors via freecycle - and quite quickly after making a request. worth a try. Look at yahoo groups and join the nearest to you.

I think any home supply would be cheaper simply because of the volume, they can purchase and sell at a lower price try Home Depot.com or Lowes.com.
