I have a steamp mop which works fantastically well on tiles but am wondering (as I am moving soon) if I can also use it on a wood floor?

If the floor has a good tough coating, not worn in spots...yes, but with caution. Wood floors don't want to be wet, but as you know with steam the floors don't get soaked. Still it's moisture and now steam which might affect some finishes if left in one spot too long. So quickly move the head around, don't linger too long in one spot.

Should be fine, heat shouldn't be too intense and disperse rapidly.
