The maintenance man put in a new drain for the sink, & the putty won't dry. It also gets all over my hands when I wash dishes. I'm afraid the drain might fall apart.

I know I sound really stupid but if it is a 10x12 room do you multiply by 4 for each side of the rooms walls to determine how much border you need? I am attempting to decorate a toddler room for the first time and am clueless.

We planned to paint my redone attic room from white to dark blue
When we went to The home depot, they gave us a primer, a lighter shade of blue and said after one coat of that, go ahead with the dark blue actual paint.
After letting the primer dry for 18 hours or so (was that enough) we started on the 1st coat of dark blue paint and when finished it looked like ***.
In some places it was darker and you can see parts of the roller swipe...
AHHHH
help

The sign has 6 florescent Lights. 3 on 1 side and 3 on the other each tubs about 7 ft long.
The 3 on the left side work and the 3 on the right do not
There is only 1 ballast and wires come out of 1 side and feed the left that work and wires come out of the right and that side does not although the top right bulb has a slight glow.
If you feel the ballast it feels hot and checking the outside temp of it is about 156 deg..
Can the 1 ballast go partly bad?
What should the voltage be coming out of the ballast. The input is 120V
I have replaced the bulbs so I guess that I am stuck at this point?

Thanks

I read an answer somewhere about using sugar water in a pie pan to kill horse flies but it did not say what ratio or how much to use.

I live in a 2 story 2700 sq ft house with a lot of plants around the house. Since last month, a LOT of house flies have been showing up. Even after killing them they just keep coming. The doors to my house have always been closed and I don't have any dead flesh sitting around in trash cans or anything. I know they have to be multiplying somewhere but I don't know where! Can maggots live in plants? Can they eat their own dead flies? What should I Do!?

We usually have the air conditioner to keep the house at 73 degrees. This is freezing for me, so I raised it to 80. it was working perfectly fine for a day and all of a sudden it stopped shooting out cold air in the middle of a 99 degree day. I've turned it off and on and it is working the same way it normally does, except it just refuses to blow out cold air. Could this have happened because i changed the temperature? If not, what is wrong with it and what can i do to fix it. Any help is appreciated as tomorrow is supposed to feel like 107.
The filter is new.

I did the alcohol swab test to see if the original paint was oil or latex and since paint came off easily, it looks like the old owners painted high gloss latex (the current peeling paint) over another high gloss latex. How can we fix this?

The top of the flag pole has two holes and a pulley. The rope needs to go up through one of the holes, across the pulley, and then down through the other hole.

Cool, but it's 30' up there.

Naturally, the flag pole can come down. It's a tapered aluminum sleeve that comes off a post easily. Trouble is, it's fairly heavy. How can I let it down without a crash?

Any ideas?

Thank you.

There are no broken windows to replace, so I'm assuming the original glazier points are still holding the panes in. We just need to reglaze/putty/caulk the windows as they're crumbling.

I have a Frigidaire dryer about 7 YO it has started to allow clothes to get stuck between the drum and the bottom of the outer opening. They get stuck which ruins them leaving a burn mark on the clothes. If I reach inside the drum I can push the front up about 1 inch which closed the gap where the clothes get pinched.

My question is do you think the rear bearing or the rollers are worn out allowing the drum to have slop in it or might it be another problem.

Thanks Gary

I have an open ground in a couple of my outlets in my house. There has been some rewiring done before I bought it, and I had the electric panel redone since I have owned it. Some of the open ground outlets I am able to close off, but some I still need some of the outlets. Will a GFI outlet , or a GFI breaker be better ? will the town C/O inspector flunk me if I do this ?
