there are several appliances that quite a bit of electricity. your clothes dryer, your electric hot water heater and your a/c. also your electric stove but unless it is baking 24/7 then it is not that much.one electric device that will pull alot that you wont really be aware of is the electric water heater.if you have hard water the elements in the heater corrode up and cause the heater to heat more often and for longer periods. have it checked by an electrician.

Are you serious? You are only billed for electricity that is "used." If a light is turned off, it is not "in use." Your toaster does not use any elecricity unless you have a piece of toast in it and it is "in use." Can you see? I don't know. Are you blind? Is the sun shining? Is there moonlight? Are you burning candles? Flashlight?

turning off your lights will reduce power to your home it doesnt just go to some other area. the electrict comapny bills you on the amount of power you drain from the grid so if you drain less by turning off stuff you dont use then your bill in theroy will be less. as for being able to see that depends on your night vision and other light sources such as your tv
