My calculator fell off the end of the bed into a bowl of water. Being unaware of it, it soaked for a long time. I then turned it on & it seemed to be ruined considering the display & how awful it looked. I carefully took it apart being very careful to note how & in what order that I took it apart so that I could put it back together properly. I took a clean cotton cloth & put it back together as I made sure every piece was totally dry. I figured that if the water was gone when I put the calculator properly together again that it would definitely work again. Water is water, no? I didn't break it & so it had to work. Right? I was right. It worked good as new!!

It's a longshot but...

Remove the battery! I hope you did that already.
Rinse the phone with DISTILLED water, hopefully before it dries out. Rinse for a half a minute and then shake out what water you can and Gently warm the phone to dry it out. Maybe heat to 100-110 deg F, I wouldnt go much higher. If you can do this in the house with the A/C running (to keep the humidity low) this would probably speed things up. After it dries Completely (like tomorrow or longer), cross your fingers and put the battery in.

About the only thing you can do is to remove the battery, leave battery cover off and let it air dry. Use a fan to force air over it for a few days. Once you are sure it's dry, then try using it. If you've already tried to power it up while it was still wet inside it may be too late. Good luck.

okay, so I didn't read the other answers, but number one, don't turn it on, I made that mistake when I dropped mine in the toilet. Douse it well with rubbing alcohol and set it out somewhere to really dry well, get the battery out if you can. Then take it in to be looked at by a tech person. They said if I had not turned mine on, we might have been able to save it. Hope this works for you.

Unfortunately, speaking from experience, your doomed. I've tried everything, drying it out, waiting it out, etc. and the phone company will know it was water damaged, no matter how long it has been since it happened. Sorry:(

I don't know a cell phone that gets wet that can be saved, the boards warp and don't work. Get a new one.
