I am buying a house with my fiance. The house is 2 story, about 2000 square feet, has a kitchen, 2 1/2 baths, a dining/living room combo, a family room, an upstairs loft, and 3 bedrooms. We want to have a country-themed house and I was looking for some ideas for paint colors. All ideas welcome.

Does the connection rod only go on one way? Some back ground I re-used my old piston and rings. The cyclinder appears to look very good there was some very minute scoring. Can anybody tell me why it would be so tight? It will only turn over if I use a wrench and turn it manually.

I am responsible for maintaining my grandmothers LARGE garden for the next week. She left one day ago and already some of the flowers look like they're dying.

A few of them appear to droop and look to be curling up and hardening. I believe she watered them before she left and I watered them again in the evening. The next morning I watered them, then watered them again in the evening. The temperatures been around 90 degrees and about half of the plants are hanging on pots above the fence while the others are in the ground.

The garden is about three feet wide but goes all around the perimiter of the yard and there is a ton of stuff. I usually run the water right where the plants roots are for about ten seconds then move to the next plant, the whole routine usually takes me 45minutes. Unfortunetly these plants aren't looking too good and she will be very disappointed if she returns home to dead plants.

Any tips on how I can keep them alive?

I have been told that my water pressure coming into my house registers at 100 and I need a pressure reducing valve to reduce this pressure. Is this the responsiblity of my city water company or do I have to pay to have this installed? Is this something I can do myself and how hard is it to do?

Is it possible to make a shag rug for a bedroom out of that faux fur you see in fabric stores? If so, whats the best way to go about it? I was just going to get a yard or so and put some no-slip mat under it but maybe there are better ideas? Is there any reason this is a bad idea? Let me know.

Thanks!

Here's a challenge for the green thumbs out there.
I'd like to create a perrenial garden, 50 feet long, 10 feet deep, on a gentle curving pattern, to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The site is protected from northern winds and has full morning and southern sun during the summer.
I'm going to move onto a cleared 200'X200' wooded plot with very rich soil and would like to eventually build a more complex garden from this starting point.
Which of you creative gardeners have the talent to show me what you can create?
I plan to put this little plot in front of a pergola which will be attached to a 3 season room attached to a mobile home, facing directly south.

We are a family of five and bought a home we were told by the seller that it only needed "cosmetic" work. We had it inspected before we bought it but turns out the foundation is bad and the whole house is not shifting because of it. We can't afford loans and were wondering if there are grants or assistance services avaliable in Kentucky.

Last year I had my bathroom remodeled. I had a new tub and tile installed. I asked the tile man to put the tiles together and not to have grout lines. He insisted that they HAD to have grout. I told him to put in the smallest, narrowest grout line as possible. Well now the tile grout is looking yucky. I know how to clean it so that is not the question. I just want to know why do you have to have grout in the first place? If the tiles are pushed up against each other with the sides touching and then put in grout in the very small area. why would a professional tile man insist that it MUST have grout?

Mower (an old John Deere S82) intermittedly turns off and was difficult to start. After cleaning the filter and fuel lines, the mower does not start. The spark plug is new and the spark tests okay.

We have 35 acres of electrical fence .Also 8 strand of high tensel strength wire. We wont to be able to see the remote corners of our fences across at night to make sure that they fence is making a complete circuit..We have looked for neon strobes or something that would set of brillant flashes with every pulse of the fence .Something that works well and for long periods of time..Something we can see.. If anyone knows of anything that could help me that I could wire directly into the fence please let me know .? I cant seem to find anything that will let me know when its working. We have the solar charger that blinks when working and completing circuit but the main wire going into the fence was not connected and the flasher was working so we thought it was working and the only reason we didnt know is the horse walked by the window..We also have a strand around the house to keep the horses immediately from around the house..If you can help I would appreciate it thanks!
