Cast iron is too brittle to bend, so if you have a dent in it, it isn't cast iron.

A dent!
In a cast iron tub?
I've installed them new. I've wrecked them out. I've replaced them. I have a friend that refinishes cast iron tubs.
If you have a cast iron tub with a 'dent' , send me a pic of it so I can for sure show it around. Cast iron tubs do not 'dent'.
Edit: If you are talking about some of the enamel is chipped off, you are best to buy acetone to clean it with, and any good hardware store like Westlake, will have porcelain repair in a bottle, that will suit your needs. Color may not match 100%, but it's better than doing nothing at all.

That is like getting a dent in a glass bottle. It just can't happen.
If it is a steel tub it could have a dent and would also have its porcelain coating smashed at the point of the dent. If the coating is flaked off from a hit you can get an eopxy coating (in a nail-polish style bottle) to fix that cosmetic damage. If you are talking indentation with a lot of surface damage it will never look great again but will not rust from damage if you put a coating on it.
