Forget all the home remedies. You have too much invested to risk damaging the floor. For a marble floor, you need to strip all the old sealer and really clean until the rinse water has no dirt residue at all. Re-seal the floor and follow the instructions for future cleaning. I have ceramic tile floors and clear water is the only thing I need to clean them.

Try a car paste wax like turtle wax premium on a small part and see how that works, granted not a permanent solution for high traffic areas. I used polyurethane on a slate floor, but not sure how good it would work on marble.

there is a product called HIGloss used for cleaning and polishing fibreglass tub enclosures that can be used on marble sinks. It sprays on you wipe off then polish a bit. On the marble sink it renews shine and protects. I would give this a try

use a lemon oil bees wax product, it will not hurt kids if they touch it and lick there hands, wont hurt pets it they lick the floor, smells WONDERFUL!, i reccomend the Borkholders brand, if it is not to large of a floor, this is what i do:

get some citrus fruit that is very acidic (orange, lemon , lime, grapefruit) and use a cheese chredder or lemon zester to gat the peel off, then squeeze the juice out of the fruit part, put it in a bucket/bowl, add a cup of warm water per fruit, use as many as you need, and scrub the floors wiith it, after wards vacuum up any peel left ont the ground, this is not as affective as the lemon oil, but works!
