I've read that putting them in potting soil or tossing them out into the garden doesn't really work and that they need a period of cold. If I put it in the freezer for a time, will that help? If so, how long should it stay in there?

I have stag horn sumac and the berry clusters are very full this year. I notice the birds don't seem to go after them until fall, but they seem ripe now. I want to dry some for cooking.

I lost all the trees in my front yard except one American Redbud to what I suspect is Verticillium wilt. I have pulled the saplings, and I have cut one large tree down with one more to go, then the stump grinding. We plan on moving within the next 5 years, so I am planting for the next owner, I realize. I live in Nashville (zone 6).

1) What is a fast growing, full afternoon sun, nice replacement tree that isn't invasive like a Chinese Tallow?

2) I am considering a weeping willow as one replacement. How far away from my water line/foundation should I plant it?

3) How much of an effect could younger trees have on the value of my house? (i.e. do I NEED a fast growing replacement like a poplar or Leyland Cypress or could a beech ir birch suffice?)

4) I dislike Bradford Pears, so please don't recommend them.

Okay, so, I am redisigning my room...What i was thinking of doing was a low key classy room, with a light shade of color on the wall (idk what color though!) and some nice black and white photographs. I got a beuro and desk and stuff and its a dark wood. So i was wondering what i should use to decorate my room with and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated = )

I need to paint over it now, but how do I match the paint?

I rent, and so I found some paint in the garage - seems like leftover. I tried one of the buckets, but it was a little too yellow (seems like custom paint).

The wall seems mostly white, but man, how do I match it? I need to paint over the wrong yellowish paint now.

thank you in advance.

So....I have caterpillars! Well
I think that they are caterpillars...but they are smoothe not hairy. They are large worms, they are on my vining clamatis. They are leaving large roundish poops all over the porch. I have pulled 30 of them off of the stems of my flowers so far. They slightly vary in color but they are spotted greenish, some have a pink tint, some have a grey tint, some have brown tint, tan, red, etc.....they are clearly all the same worm. I am wondering what kind they are? I know there are tons of different kinds, but if anyone has any idea, or where I could look at some pictures on the net to identify them...also curious what they turn in to....moth, butterfly etc..If anyone has any information that would be helpful please let me know. Thanks so much!!

Does grout ever go bad?...once it starts to lump inside the bag, is that sign that grout is bad/unusable, can you turn it back into powder somehow?......also the excess grout removed from between the tiles, is it reusable?...
