Go get some Ortho Max. Spray it around the windows, doors, under the sinks around the drains, around the base of all the cabinets, and outside around the foundation of the house. It will stop them dead in there tracks. Make sure to spray generously and allow it to dry before walking on it. If you mop the floors, you will need to spray again after the floor is dry. It got rid of mine. You will need to spray about every three months to keep them out. Good luck.

Put black pepper or the hottest pepper you have at home, in and around the area, The ant´s will then carry this back to the nest, The egg-laying queen will then move the ant´s out . This will not kill them , but they will move somewhere else.

There are two kinds of ants in houses. One kind likes sweet things and the other doesn't. You tried one kind of ant killer. Check to see if it was the kind for sweet-loving ants or not. Then try the other kind of ant killer. It will probably work. It won't be instantaneous, but the ants will gradually die off. Good luck!

try using 409 cleaner and interrupt their pheremone trail. They will only keep coming back if you do not remove the trail

Once you have done this, treat veavily aound the outside of the infested area with a product containgin Cyfluthrin. This is a man made pyrethroid and is not dangerous to humans or animals, but will kill the little bgers before they can enter your home.

To my knowledge when ants are around in your home it means there is either a storm on the way or rain is coming.

I'm from Louisiana and I swear by Bengal Roach Spray for everything! It gets rid of roaches, ants, spiders, and those anoying moths that get into your pantry by hitch-hiking in boxed flour based products.
Bengal is very low in odor and doesn't leave a residue.
If you can't find it locally try here:

we had that problem last year, and they were around our sink too....my husband put sealer around the foundation of the house (near the back door) and that worked......he did it in the spring....it might be a good idea if you have any cracks... I know how irritating those ants are

good luck
