How can I be "caught" in a spiderweb when walking in a trail or in a road? How do they do that? Leap and jump and spin a web at the same time?

My home was built in the 1840's - long before the municipal water supply was installed. I've been thinking of having a water well drilled to supply my irrigation needs, but I'm certain that prior well(s) existed somewhere on the property.

QUESTION: How I could detect an existing, capped well under the surface of my yard?

Orange lillies are naturalized in my area, I'm thinking of digging up about 100 bulbs, and planting them all over my yard so they can take over. But, I don't want to transplant them if they only bloom for like 3 weeks then die. If you don't know what kind of lily i'm talking about, there is a pic here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/manojgovindan/374719280/ How long do they bloom? What months do they bloom? Oh and I live in ontario, zone 5.

I am installing a 95mm cable for the first time and finding it very hard to bend and get an exact length to fit inside a 200amp fused isolator, tails are approx 150mm in length coming out of the top of the isolator which doesn't give much to play with, perhaps I am doing something wrong, can anyone advise, is there any tool available to carry out the job, also trying to crimp inside the box is impossible with the crimps i am using unless there is something else to do this in a small place. Many thanks

We recently bought a house with a small outdoor concrete pond. We were told by the previous owners at closing that they used to keep fish in the pond.
It looks like it holds around 60 - 80 gallons of water. There is a drain hole right in the center, but there is no pump or filter. It hasn't held fish for a some time since the sellers had rented the house for a few years before selling.
What do we need to do to turn this into a fish pond? I'm willing to tackle almost any DIY project, but I would prefer not to have to dig up my yard if it can be avoided.

I live in an 80-year-old house with old pipes that are generally in pretty good condition for their age. Occasionally we have minor clogs (usually hair). Is it OK to use commercial drain openers to fight the clogs? The bottles state that they are safe for all kinds of pipes, including old plumbing, but other people have told me this is not true. Is there something else I should be using instead?

My husband and I just bought a house. The backyard after about 12 feet is a forrest! I cant tell you the amount of noise outside at dark it is HORRID! I HATE BUGS especially mosquitos!!!!! I want to buy something that will kill 3/4 to all of them in the yard. I dont want my dog to bring in fleas or ticks and I definetely want to be able to enjoy my deck without getting killed by mosquitos. I also, need to make sure that whatever it is I treat my lawn with, will not harm my dog.

1: When, and for long do dayliliies bloom? (these are the orange kind)
2: When, and for long, do irises bloom?
