How can I be "caught" in a spiderweb when walking in a trail or in a road? How do they do that? Leap and jump and spin a web at the same time?

spiders let a thread go out with the wind until it catches on something (like a tree across the road)...

The third answer about the wind is correct. Some spiders can also span a pretty big span by building using sort of a cantilever approach. But I've seen spiders doing the wind thing over my garden pond.

some spiders have the unique ability to "fly" with the wind-as they catch some wind they leave a trail of web behind them-when they land they now have a trapeze rope to begin building a web
