I recently got some books out of my storage room and a lot of them smelled musty due to some moisture. Is there any easy way to get the smell out. I tried sitting outside for a few days to air out, but not much help.

There is no standing water in my garden or flower pots, but when I go to turn the pots so they get rounded sun, tons of masquitos fly from behinde, and around them, same for my garden, If I touch anything, masquitos. Again there is no standing water. Any suggestions of what I can do to get them gone and keep them gone. Thanks so much for your help.

Why do people ask questions about appliances on this site and fail to give the brand of appliance? do they not understand that asking a question without that info is like asking a motorcycle mechanic how to fix an 18 wheeler engine???? Or do they just not understand that it is done differently by different manufacturers????

I heard this from a friend. Wouldn't that dull the edge? Is there a better way to sharpen them?

the post is 4" x 4" in hard (clay) land. I want to know how deep to dig the hole for the post. Preferably the minimum, but safe and sturdy, recommended depth. thanks a lot.

I have a purely orange polo shirt, but I have nothing else in my wardrobe close to that color (yellow?), and I'm worried about putting it with my whites (I have very few darks that need washing) and having it put a tinge of orange in all my clothes (from what I've heard and seen in TV). Do I have no choice but to wash it separately, or is it still ok to put it in with the rest of the wash?

My plants were doing just fine till yesterday.
Some of the bottom leaves had turned yellow druing the past three weeks or so.
Today, all of a sudden most of them are now yellow with black dots.

No signs of bugs nor any bugs eating the leaves.

I have tomatos but have been green for the past four weeks and no sign of turning red. Should I pick them to ripen them?

Thanks for any info you may provide me.

We had this door at the time when we moved. It's about 7 years now and on ocassions, when we press the remote (which is used to open and close the garage door), the door would start to close but once it reaches not even 1/4 of the way down, it would automatically go back up. I'm not sure if age is a possibility but I reckon it could be something to do with the chains. Can someone have a theory on why this is doing that? Because i'm sick of opening and closing it by hand.

I have defrosted it once a couple of weeks ago, with warm water in a bowl and a blunt knife. It was all right for a while, but i opened it yesterday and it has gone crazy with frosting again. Its not my freezer, its my landlord's, and it is fairly old.

(This is a little glass front case that held small momentos... the only "degradable" things were a bit of fabric and some candied almonds. I think the odor was possibly caused by something used to preserve the cabinet from woodworm but have no way to be sure. There are a few black stains inside that didn't wash away with flax soap and after I washed it I closed a dish of baking soda inside hoping to absorb the odor. That not working I put a jar of cloves inside hoping to, at least, cover the smell but also this to no avail.)

Please help.

My husband wants to terminate them, but I would like to find a friendlier way to ask them to find a new home. I don't want to harm them. My husband is afraid they will bring ticks and fleas around our house and then to our dog.
