They should have been cut back three months ago, which I failed to do. They are overgrown and leaning, though they are staked. I'm afraid if I cut them back now that all the energy will go into the roots and the graft will die, which happened to another one last year. They are iceberg rose trees.

One week I clean my bathrooms, and kitchen, and the following week I clean my living room and bedrooms.
So there is about a 2 week space between. Is this to little or to much?

I have a really bad allergy to bees stings and I was wondering if there are any types of flowers that will repell them.

What's the best kind of fence and where can I get it? I want a fence that will
1)keep my cats in my yard and other people's animals out
2) provide privacy
3) allow some air flow, like vertical blinds

If anyone knows of a product that fits this description, I'll be very grateful - construction's not my strong suit!

I've been working in my garden (new home owner!!!) and planting some perennials. The tag on my cone flowers states to deadhead the flowers after blooming. I'm not sure what that means or how important it is. Any help would be appreciated!

Iv always been into the cosy feel of home but my home lost somthing when i opted for no carpets which im glad of cause its more hygenic and is better for my asthma, and is always fresh and fragrant now.Even with my little dog and my cockatiels.Iv scattered cushions and got fur (faux)rugs around. But the minimilistic look means i have to compensate the cosiness.Plain walls and fabrics just dont have the same appeal, and i dont have the funds to start over, and i know i can put up flowery prints, cushions, candles, vases of flowers/grasses,but its still not giving me that cosy feel i used to know. Can anyone come up with something to recosy my home please, cause i miss it.

Not knowing that the tree had such shallow roots, I dug a trench around the tree about 4" deep to plant hostas. The outside diameter of the trench has a 3' radius with the tree at the center. The tree has a 3" trunk and is about 15' tall. When I dug the trench, I cut six 3/4" roots that had a length of more than 3'. What can I do to help this tree recover?

I am in charge of the breakroom at my job and I thought it would be nice to have a decoration on the table (centerpiece). I think it would brighten up the room. I am looking for something that I can make and be able to change out certain things for the holidays. Any ideas??

This is yet another red couch question!

We have a red leather (dark cranberry red) couch, loveseat, chair and ottomon. We just love them! We have just bought a house and I am trying to decide on a wall color. I have read all the answers to similar questions, but I have a slight twist to mine...

I make quilts and use them as art on the walls. Not old fashioned grandma type quilts, but bright, colorful, more modern quilts. I need to take this into consideration when picking a color. My quilts have pure bright colors such as red, yellow, turquoise, teal, gold, lime green, orange, purple, you get the picture.

I am sick of apartment white walls! And also my hubby hates green, but I love it and I have the final say:)

Right now I am leaning towards perhaps a chocolate brown or tan with an accent wall in red. Or everything in a dark gold. Oh I don't know! Help!

Please, any ideas would be great!

I heard some people use theirs only once. What a waste of water and detergent. I, on the other hand, use a towel for 2-3 weeks. I don't stink, but is it unhealthy to use a towel more than once or twice.

We are starting on the nursery for our little boy and I wanted to have something painted / written around the top of the room like a border. I want it to be a cute little quote or maybe a bible verse or something very sweet / sentimental. It could be several things even, separated by a little stamp in between quotes. Any ideas as far as what we could write? Thanks!!!

I had some old organic garlic cloves in my fridge that were getting sprouts on them. I planted them in my vegetable garden. Can I expect to harvest anything? How should I care for the garlic plants, and how do I know when they are ready to be pulled out? I did the same with some shallots.

Apart from the obvious name-link, why isn't the 'tak green, yellow, pink, or any other colour?
Is it because of what it's made of?
