No - you can get other colours (white-tak etc) but blue-tak is the most well-known name

It's got to be the chemicals that make it work. I imagine these days you could make it multi-coloured but why bother? Back when it was first made I imagine it just used the base chemicals which made it blue.

It can be .any colour you like.The question is do you pick the name first or the colour first.Red tack, Green tack,Purple tack, White tack take your pick. The tack can be any colour that suits you.The makers obviously decided that they liked the name of blue tack for the product and coloured it accordingly.
