What's the best kind of fence and where can I get it? I want a fence that will
1)keep my cats in my yard and other people's animals out
2) provide privacy
3) allow some air flow, like vertical blinds
If anyone knows of a product that fits this description, I'll be very grateful - construction's not my strong suit!

Good luck keeping your cats in with any fence unless you are going barbed wire or something nasty like that. You could put up a 6 ft. wood slat fence. Where every other board is on the opposite side of the fence. This allows for air flow, but is very private.

Unless you put in a 8 to 10 foot fence there is no wya to keep cats IN.
I'd go with a wood privacy fence, but the cats could climb the wood, too.
You might consider a chain link and then add the stips in the links which will add privacy.

Cats can get out of pretty much any fence. My cats climb on my house when ever they feel like it. But if you want a fence with ventilation I would go with a chain link with some vinyl strips going through them at an angle for privacy. With the vinyl strips you can get them in just about any color.

I am unsure what is available in your area but Vinyl is very hot were I live, I am unsure if the cats can climb it but they have many styles from Private, Semi-private and many more and colors and styles you may want to look into Vinyl to see if it can provide you a look and function you are looking for.

First....De-claw the cats. They won't climb then. Second, get a vinyl fence installed. Pricey, but worth every penny.
