I rececently purchased a mobile home and am waiting for it to be moved this was supposed to happen a week ago.
when the person i hired to move it went to move it he was unable to,due to construction work.I went out a couple days ago to check on it and it was still sitting on the wheels unblocked and completly twistid the back left hand corner is like 4 ft off the ground and the right front corner is like 2-1/2 ft off the ground .I went out again today and its just getting worse the metal frame the trailer sits on is coming apart and getting twisted .My Q are Is this normal practice to leave a trailer unblocked if you are not planning on moving it for a week or two?
Is my trailer even going to be any good after being twisted like this? and what if anything can or should i do?

I am thinking of writing an e-book on plumbing what-to-do's & what not to do with the plumbing in your home.
Plumbers make money on mistakes people make using certain cleaning products & drain cleaners, for instance.

Does that sound like a worthwhile pursuit?

My husband is a plumber of 20 years & has alot of info for preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, I thought people might like to know, because plumbers are not cheap!

I'm sure there is a trade secret, but can't figure it out. Since the bowl/sink is not only and odd shape but also widens, it is near impossible to determine the size and shape of the opening I need to cut into the top of the cabinet. I've thought of taking molds, but that seems too troublesome. There has to be a way to outline the mid section of the bowl. Remember the bowl is not round or oval, so I can't start with a small opening and incrementally make it bigger until the desired depth is found. Thanks for any advice!

I just put out lots of vegetables yesterday - tomatoes, melons and peppers.

They transplated just fine, I watered them and now 2 days later I'm finding everything has been "snipped off" down to the stem! This happened to the tomatoes and peppers. Only a tiny green stem left, no upper stems or leaves. The melons disappeared altogether - the entire bedding plant!

What is going on?? I put down small animal repellent so is this a voracious garden bug?

I need an experienced gardeners advice and opinion so that $200 dollars I just spent is not wasted....thanks.

I bought a pair of used Birkenstock sandles (online auction)and the foot area is black. Before I throw them away, I thought I would ask if anyone knows a good cleaning agent to use on these sandles.. The straps are leather, don't know what the foot pad is, but below it is cork and then rubber. These are expensive shoes, but I won't put my foot on them in this condition.

I live in the desert and it gets hot. So I usually get a child size pool for the summer for the kids. Problem is, everytime I fill it up the water is ice cold. Is there anyway to heat the pool up? My sis tried putting some hot water in hers one time but that trick didn't work.

For an alternative, I have also hooked up a kids sprinkler to the hose. I just thought someone might know some good tricks or something....

I've got some old seeds, packed for 1996. They're a decade old... but I thought I'd try and see if they'll still sprout. Is it worth the time (and, heh, the water) to try it? Any tips or suggestions?
