Maple tree roots are starting to buckle the sidewalk in front of my house. I want to know if I can just cut the roots that go under the sidewalk to stop this without killing the tree. I will go ahead and take the tree down if this is going to kill it anyway. The tree is about 20 years old.

The carpet company subbed my job out to a contracter who claims he accidentally kicked my wall in.I just had that whole area drywalled, and plastered. The guy left a gaping hole about 10x 10 inches.I didn't want to get into an confrontation with the him because he was already cranky and scary looking. I waited till he left & called the carpet company.I spoke to a manager, told him what happened and also said that they need to cover the expense of the repair. The manager stalled for time saying that he needed to pull my file( yeah right cause he found it on the computer)and that we'd hear from him tommorrow.I'm thinking they're going to try and pull some crap on me so I want to know what to do from here on out.Thanks.

We have tried everything, chickenwire, pest spray, we have even watched for hours. It seems whenever we look away, something has dinner. What should we do?

ok, so this is the first time I will ever mow a lawn and I've decided to purchase an electric (corded) lawn mower. Should I also buy warranty for it? They have plans up to 4 years at Lowe's for $50.

My friend believes that once a fire extinguisher has been used, it will not work again until recharged. I however do not agree, if anyone could help me settle this dispute it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a welder, but it's big and heavy, so it's difficult to carry it, and I must mention that I have problems with my spine.

So, I would like to buy a smaller one, but I am still wondering if these kind of machines work well.

Do they have enough power to melt steel?

I've tried everything from stardrops, fairy liquid, all purpose cleaner, disinfectant, boiling water to even very minute amounts of bleach but I always end up with streaks. It's driving me mad so if anybody has any suggestions they would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance xx

We planted peonies last year, we thought we had lost all of the 4 plants we planted, but low and behold this year they are growing quite well. They are now about 12 or more inches in height. My question is will we get flowers this year? Thank You. Jean

I'm in a rental, and I want to clear out the back yard for my dog. Controlled burns are out of the question as I live in Arizona, and they don't burn unless they have to. For anyone who lives in theSW area, it's full of goathead plants. It's nothing but weeds and a big mesquite tree, which I can't get rid of. Any ideas would be great, because I plan on doing a dog run and rocking the rest.
