Many people use rainwater barrels. I have seen them as large as 75 gallons. They can be purchased from lawn and garden suppliers locally. Another alternative is food grade plastic barrels, these can be bought used from a wholesale food centers, parts dstributor, or in my case a local warehouse called Star Supply.

check Freecycle.com in your area. People give things away on this site and you can request things. It cannot hurt to give it a try.

Also Craigs list.com.
